Cotton Mixed on Thursday

Cotton futures are showing marginally mixed trade in most contracts, with July down 149 points. This morning’s USDA Export Sales report showed just 72,044 RB of 18/19 upland cotton sold in the week of June 20. There 2,655 RB reported in net reductions for China, with Turkey the lead buyer of 19,900 RB. New crop sales totaled just 45,287 RB, with Mexico buying 18,800 RB and China canceling a net 1,320 RB. The Cotlook A index for June 25 was up 5 points from the previous day to 76.45 cents/lb. The weekly Average World Price (AWP) from USDA is 59.14 cents/lb and will be updated later today.

Oct 19 Cotton is at 66.51, up 19 points

Dec 19 Cotton is at 66.37, down 2 points

Mar 20 Cotton is at 67.130, up 8 points
